Saturday, June 7,  10:00AM - 2:00PM

FREE YOUTH FISHING by MICHIGAN 4-H
This Is A Lansing Rivers and River Trail Cleanup Special Event
No fishing license needed and fishing poles provided
Join us for a FREE Fishing Day celebration packed with fun and learning! Kids will get hands-on experience with fishing basics—like knot tying and casting—plus enjoy exciting activities and games.

Whether you're brand new to fishing or just want to have some outdoor fun, this FREE youth fishing event is a great way to connect with nature and your community. You’ll also get the chance to learn more about Urban 4-H programs in Lansing and how to get involved.

Let’s make some memories on the water. No fishing license needed and we will have fishing poles available. But if you have your own that you would like to practice with, bring it along!
The FREE Youth Fishing event held on Kruger’s Landing along the Red Cedar River. Because of limited parking there, we encourage you to park at our event headquarter site in front of the Potter Park Zoo entrance. Kruger’s Landing is just a short walk away along the Lansing River Trail.
This special event is being led by Rachel Ochylski, 4-H Urban Program Coordinator. If you have an interest in area youth programs or volunteering, please reach out to Rachel directly at [email protected].
