MSU Rotaract in partnership with Red Cedar Fly Fishers is putting on a fly fishing casting and tying instructional and exhibition being held at Meridian Township’s Historical Village. Meridian On The Fly is an event created to promote recreation and encourage stewardship of our treasured waterways. ​

​This fly fishing exhibition and on-hand instructional will quickly get you past that initial worry or doubt, or have you take your skill to the next level or two. For those who wish to have introductory casting lessons on a traditional spin casting rod and reel, no worries. Red Cedar Fly Fishers will gladly assist with that too.

All equipment needed, along with bottled water and snacks, will be provided. See you there!

A Storybook Setting
Meridian On The Fly is being held Meridian Township’s famed Historical Village at Central Park located behind the Meridian Township Municipal Building. This picturesque village is part of Meridian’s 279-acre Central Park where historic buildings have been carefully restored and placed in a large open park setting.

​This lovely park with its fish stocked pond, three miles of hiking trails, and wetlands teaming with wildlife, makes for a great recreation destination all year long.

Whether you come alone, bring a friend or entire family, you will certainly have a great time at our inaugural Meridian On The Fly event.

​If you don't fish, no worries. Come join us anyway and join others others who also enjoy outdoor recreation. It will make for a wonderful Friday evening.
