To Make Michigan's Waterways, Cleaner, Healthier, and More Pleasant to Use.

Your Refundable Cans and Bottles Makes for Cleaner, Healthier, Michigan Waterways.

Twenty-seven percent of Michigan's refundable cans and bottles go unreturned. Reasons cited for the declining rate of returns includes; inconvenience, messiness, and machines too often not working.

We understand and we're wanting to make your returning of refundable cans and bottles easy and of even greater value. We will do it for you! The monies received from your donated cans and bottles will go to support Michigan Waterways Stewards activities, such as:
1. Picking up litter, trash, and other unwanted debris in and alongside Michigan's treasured waterways.
2. Clearing river-wide obstructions to make navigating our waterways safer and more pleasant to use.
3. Supporting our riverside park beautification, projects creating protective migratory wildlife areas, and more.
4. Creating environmental education under the banner of, "Love Our Waterways," to inspire current and future generations of environmental stewards.

Simply collect, save, then schedule an appointment for us to pick up your refundable cans and bottles from either your home, place of work, school, or other. Or, bring them to one of our many community-wide events. Our geographies for personal pickup includes: Lansing, East Lansing, Waverly, Okemos, and Haslett.
