We wish to thank the thousands of volunteers, our River Angels, who have made their way to our waterways either alone, or in small-to-large groups, to create lasting impact and demonstrate the importance that we all have a shared responsibility to protect, care for, and improve our treasured and vulnerable waterways.
It is because of you Michigan's waterways are cleaner, healthier, and more pleasant to use. The River Angel designation is special recognition given to those who participate in a Michigan Waterways Stewards organized event or any other. For those who have helped clear a Michigan lake, river, or creek, of litter, trash, and other unwanted debris, send us a picture of you in action.
