Red Cedar River Cleanup | It's A Community-Wide Event.

Date: Sunday, March 24, 2024. Time: 11AM - 2:30PM
Event Host and Site: Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity located at 1218 E Grand River Ave, East Lansing.
We are thrilled to be partnering with event host Michigan State's Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. This represents our second year, and third community-wide event, working with them. Everyone is excited to see our MSU student populations involved in community events. 

​We must also recognize another important MSU student group, MSU Rotaract. They have been with us from the beginning and were instrumental in our creating our environmental education program under the title of, "Love Our Waterways."

We all have a shared responsibility to protect, care for, and improve our treasured and vulnerable waterways. Thus the reason for this being a community-wide event, to attend to the are of our treasured Red Cedar River. Our area focus is currently defined as the Red Cedar River, and its adjoining riverbanks, trails and parks, from Hagadorn to MSU's dam. We may be expanding our area of focus if volunteer support is strong. Early indication is, yes!

To make this a community-wide event a sustainable bi-annual occurrence, we are seeking the support of area business and industry, schools and churches, civic and social clubs, and passionate individuals. ​Join us for an afternoon of stewardship and community. There are many opportunities for those who choose to help on the water.  For those who prefer to remain on land, no worries, we'll find a place for you to help  There is plenty to do, wither it cover a stretch of riverbank, attend to a sloppy parking lot, give are to a nearby park, or others. It's going to make for a great day
